Veterans Day Gratitude

I am grateful…

"The cost of freedom is always high, but Americans have always paid it. And one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of surrender, or submission." ~John F. Kennedy

…for being the daughter of a veteran (My father endured years as a US Army POW in a German prison camp in WWII)

…for being the sister of veterans (My two eldest brothers retired from Navy & Air Force)

…for being the cousin of veterans (Marines whom celebrated their 236th birthday yesterday)

…for being the wife of a veteran (Both husbands [first & current (aka LAST)] ~ Navy Submarine Force)

…for being the mother of a veteran (Who is currently a USN LT stationed in San Diego, CA)

…for being friends with veterans (Too long of list to identify and some have paid the ultimate price for our country)
